BP Air Permit Hearing
Indiana Department of Environmental Management will hold a Public Hearing on BP Whiting Refinery expansion:
When: Friday, March 14, 2008
Time: Public information meeting 5:30 p.m. Public Hearing 6:30 p.m.
Place: Hammond Civic Center, 5825 Sohl Avenue, Hammond, Indiana
IDEM invites citizens to a public informational meeting and a public hearing. Staff from IDEM will provide the public with information about an environmental air permit modifications being proposed for BP Products North American, Inc. Whiting Business Unit in Lake County. BP plans to make changes at their existing plant to modernize the facility and accommodate additional processing of Canadian crude oil.
IDEM will answer questions during the informational meeting and accept written and oral comments from the public during the hearing.
The proposed permit is available for public review on the IDEM Web site at http://www.idem.IN.gov
